1. Greenland
Greenland is the largest island in the world with a total area of 2,166,086 square kilometers, an autonomous territory of Denmark. The island has a very cold climate, full of ice, and most of the people who live there are only Inuit.
2. New Guinea
New Guinea is the second largest island in the world with a total area of 785,753 square kilometers near Australia and is divided into two parts, the eastern part ruled by Papua New Guinea and the southern part. The sink is ruled by Indonesia.
3. Borneo
Borneo is the third largest island in the world with an area of 743,330 square kilometers. The archipelago is ruled by three countries, with Indonesia accounting for 73%, Malaysia 26% and Brunei 1%.
4. Madagascar
Madagascar is the fourth largest island in the world in the Indian Ocean, with 592,800 square kilometers belonging to Madagascar.
5. Baffin Island
Buffalo Island is the fifth largest island in the world, with an area of 507,451 square kilometers in Canada.
