After some rumors last week, Qualcomm has finally released the top chips for watches and accessories, the W5 Gen 1 and W5 + Gen 1, both of which are available in Same 4nm acid.
Qualcomm claims that its new chip will deliver twice as much performance as the power level, which is halved compared to the Snapdragon Wear 4100+ Platform. The W5 + chip can provide up to 50% longer battery life, using 30% less power than previous generations.
The W5 + Gen 1 is powered by four Cortex A53 CPUs and a single Cortex M55 CPU running at 250 MHz. The graphics are powered by an A702 GPU set at 1 GHz, and the memory has been updated to support LPDDR4 at 2133 Mhz.
It should also be noted that this chip will be the first feature in the next generation smartwatch of Mobvoi and Oppo. Meanwhile, Oppo's watch is scheduled for release in August.
